Governor Mikie Sherrill will deliver the keynote address at the ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo next month, according to an announcement from the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
Governor Mikie Sherrill will deliver the keynote address at the ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo next month, according to an announcement from the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
The two-day event will take place March 31 through April 1 at Harrah’s Atlantic City, with organizers expecting more than 900 business leaders to attend, according to the chamber. Control Point Associates will co-host the summit alongside the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce.
The ReNew Jersey Business Summit returns this year after the chamber hosted its signature Walk to Washington event in 2025, according to the announcement. The New Jersey Chamber of Commerce plans to alternate between the two major gatherings each year.
Sherrill will speak on the afternoon of the summit’s opening day, March 31, according to the chamber. During her remarks, the governor is expected to outline her administration’s “Save You Time and Money” agenda and discuss Day One executive orders designed to make it easier to start and grow businesses in New Jersey by streamlining government operations and reducing permitting barriers.
“I want to thank Gov. Sherrill for joining us at the ReNew Jersey Business Summit & Expo,” said Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce. “Her administration’s commitment to strengthening New Jersey’s economy and enhancing our state’s competitiveness sends a strong and encouraging message to the business community.”
Bracken added that the chamber looks forward to hearing Sherrill’s “vision for driving economic growth and expanding opportunity for employers and employees across the state.”
The summit will feature multiple components beyond the keynote addresses, according to the chamber’s announcement. Attendees can participate in panel discussions, an all-day business expo, and networking opportunities throughout the two-day event.
The gathering represents a significant opportunity for New Jersey business leaders to hear directly from state leadership about economic priorities and regulatory changes that could affect their operations. The governor’s focus on streamlining government processes and reducing bureaucratic barriers addresses long-standing concerns among business owners about regulatory complexity in the state.
The Atlantic City venue provides a central location for attendees from across New Jersey and the broader Mid-Atlantic region. Harrah’s Atlantic City offers conference facilities capable of accommodating the expected 900-plus participants while providing networking spaces for the various summit activities.
The alternating schedule between the ReNew Jersey Business Summit and the Walk to Washington event allows the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce to maintain regular engagement with the business community through different formats. The Walk to Washington typically focuses on federal policy issues, while the ReNew Jersey summit emphasizes state-level business climate and economic development topics.
Business leaders attending the summit will have opportunities to engage with peers across various industries and sectors represented in New Jersey’s economy. The expo component allows companies to showcase products and services while building professional connections with potential partners and clients.
The timing of the summit, occurring early in the year, positions it as a venue for announcing new initiatives and setting the tone for business-government relations in New Jersey throughout 2026. Governor Sherrill’s participation signals the administration’s priority on maintaining dialogue with the private sector about economic development strategies.
